Essential winter skincare

This year Winter’s arrived a bit than expected! There’s a chill in the air and this change in weather can have a big impact on your skin, especially if you have dry, sensitive or eczema-prone skin. If you do, you’ll know that your skin takes a longer time to adjust to a change in the environment, to increase sebum production and to keep you protected. For skin that’s already struggling to cope, colder air along with wind and lower humidity levels can carry away precious moisture just when your skin needs it most.
Here are our top tips for keeping your skin glowing and healthy this winter : 
1) Drink lots of water! It’s easier to forget when it’s not hot out but that’s the most important moisture your skin needs. Nourishing from within is the first step to healthy skin. 

2) Remember to slather on that SPF if you’re out and about in the sun! Just because it’s cold doesn’t mean your skin doesn’t need sun protection - it’s so easy to forget when the weather’s cold. 

3) Be kind to your skin and massage in an all-natural balm, cream or salve at the start of the day (to prepare it for the elements ahead) and at the end of the day (to help it recover from the exposure it’s had). That will give your skin the richer nourishment it needs during the winter months.
